Hello! Our names are Terry, Victoria, and Rebecca, and we are the USG for Content team for Oxford Global. What have we been up to recently? Well… we are hard at work preparing for the fall conference! As the USGs for Content, we are in charge of conference materials, like the Delegate Handbook and the Conference Booklet. Currently, we are in the process of editing the many Background Guides for the conference, written by members of our lovely Secretariat and wonderful Oxford Global community. We also selected the committees and topics for the conference.
Throughout our Content deliberations, we have had quite a bit of fun. As we are members of different colleges, during the beautiful Trinity term, we swapped formal halls. There were Keblites at Merton, Mertonians at Mansfield, and Mansfielders at Keble! Here is a bit about us for you to read while our team is hard at work as we continue to finalise conference content. We look forward to seeing you all in November!
Terry
Hello! My name is Terry, and I’m a second-year student at Keble College, Oxford, studying Philosophy, Politics and Economics (PPE). I competed in the Australian circuit of MUN from 2020 to 2023 and fondly remember my first committee session, where I was too nervous to do anything more than ask a single point of information. Since then, I’ve chaired and worked logistics for Oxford Global conferences and have represented Oxford as a delegate abroad. MUN has sharpened my public speaking skills, exposed me to a variety of global issues, and honed my ability to collaborate. It has taken me across the world and connected me with some incredible people. I’m truly glad I got involved and am grateful to all the people who volunteered their time when I was a high school student myself. Outside of MUN, I am a keen competitive debater and enjoy bouldering, playing obscure board games, and cooking, although I unfortunately don’t have access to a kitchen at college.
Victoria
Hi, I’m Victoria (She/Her)! I'm a second-year undergraduate studying French and Spanish at Merton College, Oxford. I first got involved with Oxford Global by chairing at Home Conference 2024, and then at Novice Nations 2025. I was also lucky enough to have recently travelled to Chongqing with Oxford Global to chair a committee there, and I will be going to India to chair a committee at the start of August. I have been a delegate in multiple MUN conferences, and was the chair of my school's MUN club. I have had a passion for Diplomacy and International Relations since a young age, and MUN has been a fantastic way for me to explore these worlds further. Outside of MUN, I enjoy reading (especially a good detective mystery), cooking, going to the theatre, and spending time with my greyhound.
Rebecca
Hey! I’m Rebecca, a Visiting Student at Mansfield College, Oxford, studying History and English for the 2024-2025 academic year. I am returning this fall to Wheaton College in Massachusetts, USA, to conclude my undergraduate studies, where I read European History and French Studies. This fall, I will also be a Head Delegate for the Wheaton collegiate MUN travel team. I have participated as a delegate at NYUMUNC, the largest student-led collegiate MUN conference. My experience as secretary and delegate for the Wheaton Model United Nations travel team drew me to Oxford Global. I participated in this past year’s Home Conference in a logistical capacity, running notes to and from delegates as they considered conventions of territorial disputes in SPECPOL. I was part of the logistical team at Novice Nations, where I particularly enjoyed delivering carnations between different committees and getting to view snippets of debate! In my spare time, I enjoy sailing, watching movies, exploring the many Oxford libraries, and reading anything reminiscent of the Gallagher Girls book series by Ally Carter.
