Hi everyone, we’re Charlotte and Gustė, and together we’re the Under-Secretary-Generals for Delegates. It’s our job to manage and shape the delegate experience at the conference, ensuring that delegates have the best time possible at OxfordMUN 2025. Our responsibilities include sourcing and booking keynote and committee speakers for the conference, assistant director recruitment, and organising ‘Delegate Delights’ (stay tuned!). Here is a bit more about us!
Charlotte Allen
Hi! I’m Charlotte, a second-year undergraduate student at St Hilda's College studying History with an accelerated Russian Language course. My involvement with Oxford Global began with the Home Conference in November 2024, where I co-chaired the Somalia Committee, and since then I have enjoyed co-chairing UNSC at Novice Nations. I have participated in MUN events since I was 14, and have applied these skills to debating and public speaking - a highlight being interviewing Lord Heseltine in my final year of school. I also enjoy researching pressing debates surrounding the UN today, completing an A* level EPQ on the UNSC's policy on the recognition of countries in 2022. I have hugely enjoyed working with Gustė on the Delegates Team as part of Oxford Global’s secretariat this year, and am very much looking forward to travelling abroad with Oxford Global as part of the Oxford Delegation at WEMUN Expo this August in Beijing. Outside of MUN, I love playing orchestral percussion, salsa dancing, and travelling to new places, with my next independent trip being to Central Asia this September.
Gustė Domskytė
Hello! My name is Gustė, I am a first year undergraduate studying Philosophy, Politics and Economics at New College. Before beginning my journey with MUN, I was a competitive debater for four years, and I represented my home country Lithuania in the World Schools Debating Championship twice. Looking for an opportunity to share my experience in public speaking and encourage students to explore the art of debating, I volunteered in the Home Conference 2024 and later also joined the volunteer team at Novice Nations. I have expanded my knowledge of diplomacy and international relations by participating in the Diplomatic Academy organised by the Oxford Diplomatic Society. I am really enjoying working with Charlotte on enriching the delegate experience at the Home Conference this year and I look forward to seeing all of our ideas come to life! Outside of MUN, I love reading, taking long walks, and trying out all sorts of recipes.
