NOVICENATIONS 2026
6-8 February
NoviceNations is OG’s beginner-focused conference, held every February in the city of Oxford. It introduces students to Model United Nations (MUN) in a supportive environment where delegates can build confidence, develop public speaking and debating skills, and explore international diplomacy.
Through beginner-friendly committees, workshops, and activities, delegates engage with global issues ranging from technological change and economic policy to human rights and gender equality. For those ready to take the next step, the conference also features one or two intermediate committees each year - often specialised or crisis-based - for a faster-paced challenge.
Above all, NoviceNations reflects our commitment to making MUN accessible to all, providing a welcoming space for students at the start of their MUN journey. We look forward to welcoming you to Oxford and seeing the debates unfold!
EARLY BIRD APPLICATIONS NOW OPEN!
TALKS AND PANELS
Through our Admissions Panel, delegates can interact with students and ask them questions, learning more about the UK university application process. We also offer a variety of talks on debating, public speaking and MUN skills!
The LOCATION
NoviceNations 2026 takes place in-person at St Anne’s College, a beautiful venue and one of the University of Oxford’s thirty-nine colleges. Our venues for Opening and Closing Ceremony, and the Delegate Social, will be announced soon! Please note that delegates and schools are responsible for sourcing their own flights and accommodation for the conference.
THE COMMITTEES
Committees for NoviceNations 2026 will be announced soon! At the 2025 conference, we hosted six committees designed primarily for beginner delegates. Each committee is structured to ensure debates are both engaging and accessible, whether or not participants have previous MUN experience.
The Price
The price for NoviceNations 2026 is £330 per delegate. We offer partial fee waivers to students from qualifying schools, which will be automatically granted upon acceptance. If you have questions about fees, please email info@oxfordglobal.org and include your school name.
