Meet the USG Logistics Team

Hi everyone, we’re the logistics team. It’s our job to plan the nitty-gritty of the conference and make sure everything runs smoothly. Our duties range from chair recruitment and venue booking to schedule building and volunteer organisation. Let’s introduce ourselves so you can get to know us a bit better.

Aaron

Hi, my name is Aaron and I’m a third-year student at The Queen’s College, studying Japanese and Mandarin. I’m currently focused on historical linguistics with the aim of translating ancient poetry for a modern audience. As someone who takes pride in enabling debate and discussion, I quickly fell in love with chairing for Oxford Global. Most recently, I’ve chaired SPECPOL, one of the largest committees at OxfordMUN 2024 with over 150 delegates. I’ve also had the amazing opportunity to go abroad and chair at OxMUN Shanghai and OxMUN Toronto. In my free time, I’ve taken up long-distance bike riding and I love kicking about the cafes of Oxford trying the sandwiches. I’m very much looking forward to meeting you all at the 2025 Home Conference.

Natasha

Hi! I’m Natasha, a first-year Philosophy, Politics, and Economics student at Oriel College, Oxford, with an interest in international relations, political economy, and diplomacy. I first joined Oxford Global through Novice Nations and now serve as a USG for Logistics. I’ll also be chairing at OxMUN Chongqing later this year. Outside of Oxford Global, I have a background in competitive debating, including at the House of Lords, as well as public speaking and economics outreach. I once even made economic theory sound exciting to a room full of teenagers, which felt like a minor miracle. Before university, I was a Warrant Officer in the Army Cadet Force, so I thrive on structured chaos and strong coffee. When I’m not tackling international issues through a policy lens, you’ll find me playing the piano, rowing, or navigating Oxford’s coffee scene like it is an Olympic sport.

Ruihan

Hi I am Ruihan Liang, currently a first-year MPhil candidate in Global and Area Studies at St Antony's College, University of Oxford. I joined Oxford Global this February as USG for Logistics as part of my passion for global affairs. I have engaged in MUN conferences for years and hold experience serving in many MUN programmes. My current research examines contemporary China-MENA relations, with particular focus on the political motives of Gulf states' active participation in the Belt and Road initiative. I spend my leisure time playing FIFA, having a cup of coffee at Society Cafe, and supporting my club Chelsea.
