Meet the USG Business Team

We’re Tomi, Seng Junn, and Abhipsa, and the three of us are the Under-Secretary-Generals for Business at Oxford Global. We help run the Oxford Global social media accounts, engaging with students in the run up to the OxfordMUN 2025 Home Conference and giving you a taste of the behind-the-scenes. We also work on innovating the conference, making it more sustainable and coming up with opportunities to improve the conference experience.

Tomi

Hi, I’m Tomi (she/her), and I’m a third-year undergraduate studying English Literature and Language at Mansfield College, Oxford. My time at Oxford Global began when I got involved in the Home Conference 2023. I then went on to chair at the Shanghai 2024 conference, Home Conference 2024 and the first Novice Nations Conference. As Head Girl at secondary school and as a member of the JCR, the student governing body at Oxford, I’ve been equipped with the public speaking skills that are essential for MUN.

Outside of MUN, I enjoy taking part in a variety of sports, such as football and long jump, and also enjoy playing the baritone horn. When I’m not doing that, I enjoy crocheting or reading a good book.

Seng Junn

Hello, I’m Fong Seng Junn (he/him), and I’m a first-year law student at St Edmund Hall, Oxford. I grew up in Malaysia and have long held an affinity towards international relations and political science, with Model UN presenting the perfect opportunity to further pursue these passions. Having delegated, chaired and organised both local and international conferences since Year 10, I’m eager to offer delegates an enriching learning opportunity to address pressing global issues.

Outside of the library, I can be found coxing at my college’s boat club, attempting to cook Malaysian cuisine for my flatmates, or procrastinating at various cafes.

Abhipsa

Hello! My name is Abhipsa (she/her), I am a first-year undergraduate studying Economics and Management at St Edmund Hall, Oxford. I first got involved with Oxford Global by volunteering at the Home Conference 2024 and then at Novice Nations, where I played the role of a Special Observer. I have chaired and hosted several MUN conferences in the past, and have dabbled in competitive public speaking since middle school. One of my favorite MUN memories is from a crisis committee, where—while representing Turkey—I tried to bribe Elon Musk via a crisis note (not the brightest of ideas). The chairs leaked it (blaming Elon, of course), and chaos ensued as the committee scrambled to find the “traitor.”

Outside of MUN, I enjoy singing, playing the piano and guitar, and late-night stargazing. I am also on a mission to find the best coffee shop in Oxford—though a cheap cup from Greggs is currently undefeated.
