Hello everyone! We are Benjamin and Sienna, and we are the Under-Secretary-Generals for Logistics for GlobalVoices 2026. As USGs for Logistics, our main role is to make sure the conference itself goes as smoothly as possible, recruiting all the staff for the conference - chairs, volunteers and Assistant Directors - making sure everyone knows where they’re going and that they get there on time, and making sure everything is well-organised! The ‘Diplomacy Past, Present and Future’ theme is one we’re really excited about - we’re really looking forward to making sure this conference is in keeping with past events, ensuring everyone enjoys the present one, and making GlobalVoices 2026 the benchmark conference for the future.
We’ve both worked on Oxford Global conferences before - Benjamin was chair for NoviceNations 2026 and Sienna was Logistics support at the past two OG conferences, so we know what it’s like, and we know what a good conference looks like. We’re hoping to make this conference even better! So if you see us around during the conference, say hi, or even tell us if there’s anything we can be doing to improve your experience! Good luck with all your preparation for the conference, whether that’s debate practice, position papers or working with your co-delegate to put your country’s views on the stage. We’ll see you in Oxford!
Benjamin
My name is Benjamin Waterer, I'm a second-year English Literature and Language student at the University of Oxford and one of your Under-Secretary Generals for Logistics! It means I'll be working hard behind the scenes to make sure your conference goes smoothly.
I've had some experience with MUN before Oxford, with previously participating in an online conference during COVID at school. I was co-chair for the ECOFIN committee for NoviceNations this year, and I'm really looking forward to recreating that success with GlobalVoices 2026! I'm always interested in diplomacy and international relations, so if you see me over the conference I'd love to talk about your country's position in the committee you're in.
Outside of Oxford Global, I'm the President of the University Lifesaving Club, and a Kayaking Instructor with both the University Canoe and Kayak Club and a Sea Scout group in Oxford.
Sienna
Heya! I’m Sienna, a second-year student at St Anne’s studying Assyriology with Arabic. I attended my first MUN conference in 2020 during peak COVID. After starting out online, I was completely overwhelmed at my first in-person conference (MITMUNC 2023) — at least for the first few minutes, before diving headfirst into debates and negotiations.
In high school, I chaired sci-fi and historical crisis committees, which gave me insight into how conferences are run. Engaging with MUN as both a delegate and organizer has shaped my global outlook; conflicts and crises that may seem distant are still our responsibility. I joined OG this year as a logistics volunteer for the 2025 Home Conference and NoviceNations 2026. I’m always inspired watching delegates grow as speakers, writers, and negotiators, and I’m so glad to help facilitate this with OG as an USG for Logistics.
When I’m not doing MUN, you can find me experimenting with new baking recipes or at the ice rink, playing hockey or teaching the Oxford community to skate.
