Shanghai, the magical city where East meets West and past meets present, provides an exciting backdrop for the conference. As a bustling hub of financial and cultural activity, it is the perfect destination for those curious about China’s booming economic growth and fascinating millennia-old history. Delegates and directors are encouraged to explore the area before and after conference activities. With an English-friendly subway system that reaches virtually everywhere in the city and taxi fares starting at less than two pounds, Shanghai is easily accessible to visitors. Whether it is walking along the colourful Nanjing Lu at night, sampling street food in Old Shanghai, climbing the Oriental Pearl Tower, seeing sites from the World Expo, or strolling along the historic Bund, the city will keep you busy outside of committee. With its culture, landmarks, entertaining nightlife, and breathtaking views, Shanghai is a perfect city for a truly global conference.
Shanghai Foreign Language School
Shanghai Foreign Language School (SFLS) was founded in 1963 as one of China’s seven earliest foreign language schools in the metropolis. It is a full-time boarding school specialising in foreign language education. It receives funding from China’s Ministry of Education, and it is supervised jointly by Shanghai Municipal Education Commission and Shanghai International Studies University. We are proud to announce that the conference will be held at the school itself for the third year in a row.
